Christ United Methodist Church is a new congregation in Cabot. We offer meaningful worship, transformational relationships, exciting ministries for children, youth, and adults that will bless the people of the Cabot community, and others around the world.
We want you to truly trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, to deepen your faith in God, and learn to live to the fullest, the life God has given you! Remember, God loves you, and so do we! Christianity is about real life!
Some people may think that following Jesus is a matter of rules and limitations. Going to church might be about how to dress, speaking only “churchy” and unfamiliar words, and spending time with people only if they are exactly like yourself. For us Christianity is about real life, life as God intends us to have it. Put simply, Christ United Methodist Church is: “A new community of faith where people can know Christ and have life in his name”
What does it mean to know Christ?
Knowing Jesus is not about rules, it is about a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is about feeling in our hearts that we are loved and accepted by God. It is about knowing we all make mistakes, and we can be forgiven through the gift of Jesus Christ.
What is life in Christ’s Name?
Life in Christ is a life of freedom, focus, and friendships with him and others. It is an exciting adventure of discovering our gifts and our God-callings. Before we were born, God had hopes and dreams for our lives. He made us all with a greatness hidden inside. It might be a great capacity to love others, or a great capacity to lead.
It might be a great capacity to provide hospitality, to sing, to play a musical instrument, or to teach children. It is different for every person, but all of these hidden abilities and gifts are valuable to God. God is proud of the way he made you, and he wants you to discover these gifts. Living life with Christ lets us find those hopes and dreams and be fulfilled as we live them out.
